Clubs and Trifecta
We like to encourage our runners to get out and enjoy the area where we hold our races, so we designate certain challenging and iconic activities in the park to be a part of our official club hikes and trifecta. At the moment, we’re trying to decide which hikes or activities should make up our Shenandoah Club Hikes and Trifecta. Do you have any suggestions?
We want to designate at least two hikes in Shenandoah National Park to be Club Hikes. These should be fairly challenging hikes (about 5-6 miles round-trip) and extremely rewarding!
What do I get? Any runners that take the challenge and complete one of the designated hikes within 72 hours of running the race will officially join the club, get their pictures published on our website, plus receive a commemorative gift (we’re still deciding what this will be)! All you have to do is take a picture of yourself at the designated location which includes:
1) A clear view of your face
2) Your bib with bib numbers clearly visible
3) Your finisher medal in plain view
4) Clear background showing where you are
Once we’ve decided on Club Hikes, we’ll announce them and update this page.
The Shenandoah Trifecta
Our race trifectas are comprised of 3 different activities. These should be iconic, must-see points in Shenandoah National Park, but easy enough to do with children. The Trifecta is meant to be challenging, but less strenuous.
You must complete all 3 in order to complete the Trifecta. Same rules apply: take your picture at each of the 3 with your bib and finisher medal and send them to us 72 hours after finishing the race. Those who complete the Trifecta will get their pictures published on our website, plus receive a commemorative gift (we’re still deciding what this will be)!
